Milla Jovovich in Versace at the 2012 Life Ball in Vienna #LIFEBALL

Nearly 40,000 people dressed in colorful costumes attended this year’s Life Ball, Vienna’s glitzy annual AIDS charity, Saturday, with actress Milla Jovovich and former U.S. president Bill Clinton among those adding to the star factor. It’s the high profile event where fashionistas don their brightest colours to help raise money for a good cause, and it took place in Vienna’s city hall on May 19, 2012. Milla had the right idea for how to stand out amongst a sea of glitzy celebrities when she made her outfit choice for the 20th Life Ball. Wearing a lime green Atelier Versace gown, the 36-year-old model and actress employed two tactics as a means to be the brightest star of them all, stepping out in neon while also flashing ample flesh.

Of meeting Clinton, Milla tweeted: “It’s so incredible at the #LIFEBALL! I had the privilege of meeting our former pres. Clinton! He is doing so much 2 help fund medicines 2 reach children in 3rd world countries working with an unbelievable woman named catherine tucker who has an orphanage in Cambodia. They save children’s lives every single day. What a honor to meet the real heroes. Lol! It’s a bit blurry but finally here is a pic of bill Clinton n I! I already have one with Hillary, so my collection is complete!”

Next Atelier Versace Show at the Ritz Paris

Donatella Versace announced today that she will return to the Ritz Paris on Sunday, July 1st to show the next Atelier Versace collection.

“It is with tremendous emotion that I return to the Ritz where I shared so many special moments with my brother. The closing of the Ritz Paris for two years represents the end of an era but also the beginning of a new one, so to be able to show Atelier Versace there one last time will be a memorable milestone.”

Young Versace has unveiled its new advertising campaign with supermodel Cindy Crawford’s 10-year-old daughter Kaia Gerber as the face. Modeling designs adorned with the label’s iconic Greek key motif, Gerber was shot by acclaimed fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

According to the fashion house’s creative director Donatella Versace, Gerber proved she has inherited her famous mother’s talent when modeling the collection.

“Like her mother, Kaia has a very special gift,” she explained in a release. “The camera really, really loves her.”

Crawford was thrilled for her young daughter and mentioned that she was happy as “Kaia was chosen to be part of the first Young Versace Campaign. I have so many fond memories of the times I spent with Gianni and Donatella. There is something so very special about the House of Versace.”

Brad Pitt Wears Versace at Palm Springs Film Fest

In the occasion of the 23rd Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala, Brad Pitt looked smashing in a black Versace suit from their 2012 collection. The 48-year-old actor was honored at the Gala with the Desert Palm Achievement Award in acting, for his work in both Moneyball and The Tree of Life. So why was Brad using a cane? He revealed to reporters that he injured himself when he wiped out on a ski slope while holding his daughter Vivienne. Angelina Jolie was wearing a billowy dress from Lebanese-born and Paris-and-Beirut based fashion designer Elie Saab, and Jimmy Choo shoes. Brad and Angelina continue to be the best dressed couple in Hollywood.


Abbey Lee Kershaw in Versace for H&M Cruise 2012

H&M’s new Cruise Collection designed by Italian fashion house Versace has been unveiled in a lookbook starring Abbey Lee Kershaw. It has everything from resort-wear to fruity-print robes, sandals and accessories. The new Versace collection follows on the success of the first such collaboration between H&M and Italy’s Versace, offering summery shades and bold prints.

The women’s collection is both light and feminine, with berries and butterfly prints on dresses, tops, negligees, dressing gowns and silk cashmere cardigans. The women can also flaunt white jeans, bikinis and summer accessories like charm bracelets, print bags, ballet flats and high heels.

The entire range is scheduled to be released on Jan. 19, and will be available as an H&M online exclusive.

“For autumn we have looked back at the Versace archives with the iconic collection for H&M, and now we are looking forward, with a first feeling for the new spring season. As well as holiday pieces, there is also everyday wear, with lots of denim and print, all of it with a spirit that’s classically Versace,” OK Magazine quoted Margareta van den Bosch, the Creative Advisor at H&M, as saying.


Versace Children’s Store in Milan

Italian fashion house, Versace, has opened the doors to its very first children’s store in Milan, Italy. The new children’s boutique is dedicated to the brand’s “Young Versace” collection that debuted at the Pitti Immagine Bimbo fashion show in Florence last June.

“This is a high-end, glamorous and colorful collection in line with the brand’s essence, with a touch of rock ‘n’ roll. Donatella Versace strongly supports and is behind the project, we have a state-of-the-art technological platform and supply chain, and we directly manage our core business,” said Gian Giacomo Ferraris, chief executive officer of Versace SpA.

The collection includes clothes and accessories for both girls and boys from infancy to age 12. The Milan boutique contains exclusive pieces from the Young Versace line, which was first shown at a special international children-wear exhibit in Florence earlier this year.
