Naomi Campbell at the Roberto Cavalli Milan Show

At the Roberto Cavalli Autumn/Winter show at Milan Fashion Week, model Naomi Campbell stunned in a floor-length purplish beaded dress with a steep V-neckline along with black elbow gloves.

“If there was an Oscar for the world’s greatest model, then I would give it to Naomi Campbell, no question,” the Telegraph quoted Cavalli stating.

Indeed, the svelte model looked eye-catching as she paraded the ramp with the other Cavalli models in the evening-wear section.

Cavalli’s latest collection included a combination of mini puff-skirts, long-tiered maxi dresses and wide-cut trousers. The short dresses were mainly in shades of midnight blue, pink or turquoise and were designed with printed or inlaid fur.

The maxi dresses, on the other hand, had a Victorian-era feel with tops closed to the neck. The spike heeled boots of the models were furry leopard print, and even the sunglasses have flashes of crocodile and ostrich skin at their edges.

Roberto Cavalli Spring/Summer 2012 with Naomi Campbell by Steven Meisel

The new Roberto Cavalli Spring/Summer 2012 Ad Campaign revolves around the iconic beauty of 4 excellent top models: Naomi Campbell, Karen Elson, Kristen McMenamy and Daphne Groeneveld are the Florentine designer’s muses, as he chose to represent the collection through women who embody the standards of a modern appeal.

Steven Meisel shot the campaign in the studios situated on Pier 59 in New York, set against a monochromatic background which emphasises the splendour of the printed silk dresses and the garments, illuminated by golden embroidery and sumptuous embellishments.

A static equilibrium, a structured form that creates a perfect geometry, with Naomi Campbell capturing attention with her magnetic gaze, bright and sensual. An extremely sophisticated and feminine vision.

The modern cowboy by Roberto Cavalli

Meet the modern cowboy. The three-piece suits based on a formal appearance matched with woolen jumpers, leather details, printed scaves and big hats. The urban cowboy is one of the coolest trend of the Roberto Cavalli FW 2011/12 menswear collection.

“Groovy is a lifestyle, a man who leaves a masculine, strong, sensual imprint,” said Roberto Cavalli.

Elisa Sednaoui for Cavalli Gold

Elisa Sednaoui is the new face of Cavalli Gold — Roberto Cavalli’s signature fragrance, which will be released in early 2012. “Elisa is self-confident and she has an amazing personality. She has got this animal side, she is enthusiastic, really sexy with a stunning body and hypnotic eyes,” the designer said of his house’s new spokesmodel, adding that “she is the woman every woman would like to be, so she is the real Cavalli woman.” The campaign, which in golden animal print screams “Cavalli,” was shot by star photographer Steven Klein.

Roberto Cavalli Women Spring/Summer 2012

Italian designer Roberto Cavalli cast an air of elegant decadence at his Milan Fashion Week show on Monday. Models swept past in silk tulle dresses decorated with delicate hints of lace and embroidery in designs that had a Baroque inspiration and featured frequent alternations between shiny gold patterns and black fabric.

There were hints of colour too including Cavalli’s trademark jungle-style designs and animal print patterns like leopard and tiger on jackets and heel-length skirts that billowed out to reveal transparent stripes.

The summer/spring 2012 collection also included the new square handbag “Florence” — in honour of Cavalli’s native city — in crocodile and black with a large golden metal padlock engraved with a snake scale effect.

“I design for those who love life and the positivity of colour, for women who know how to captivate a man,” Cavalli said, adding that the collection was intended to portray “an extremely sophisticated and feminine image.”
