Ron Lundy : RBR – TVBR report on Ron Lunde of the deterioration of his health in the past week. Now famous in New York City Top 40 DJ had died at the age of 75.

According to Ted David on the site musicradio77.com, Lundy, died Monday at a hospital in Mississippi after suffering a heart attack the other. His wife, Shirley, said Lundy had risen for a period of time, and it has read every message of condolences to him – but then on Monday of a heart attack claimed his life.

la earthquake ; A magnitude 4.4 earthquake rattled Southern California at 4:04 a.m. Tuesday, according to the USGS-Caltech Web site.

The earthquake lasted about 15 seconds and was centered near the Whittier Narrows, the site of the 1987 Whittier Narrows earthquake, according to center.

The 1987 earthquake killed eight people and caused $358 million in damage, mostly to the Uptown Whittier area, according to the USGS.

Tuesday’s earthquake knocked items off counters and set off alarms in the Whittier area, but police received no immediate reports of injuries or major damage, said Whittier Police Sgt. Kevin Ramos.

Shortly after the quake, the California Highway Patrol reported a buckled 10-foot stretch of concrete in a center lane of southbound Interstate 5 south of downtown. It’s unclear if the broken concrete was caused by the quake.

Crews from the California Department of Transportation were working through the morning commuter rush to repair the cracked concrete.

The earthquake was about 11 miles below the earth’s surface, according to the USGS.

People from San Bernardino County to the east and Santa Monica to the west reported feeling the quake.
