Happy Valley Estate is headed for auction next month, presenting a rare opportunity to obtain one of the most luxe properties in the Scottsdale, Arizona area. The auction will include the main property and two adjoining parcels that, when combined, push the size of the estate to just under 19 acres total, which, according to listing agent Don Tyler, will afford the new homeowner the flexibility to mold the estate “into your own private oasis without the restrictions of the homeowners association.” The live auction sale, held by Concierge Auctions, is scheduled for February 11th. Collectively listed for $35 million, bidding on the three parcels will begin at $5 million, although interested parties will also have the opportunity to bid on the lots separately.
The original owner spared no expense when it came to the main residence, which includes a 10,000-square-foot mansion that balloons to over 27,000-square-feet when you factor in all the amenities. There is a heated mother of pearl indoor pool with retractable doors and a “mermaid style” Jacuzzi, a private desert botanical garden, French Victorian courtyard and an indoor tennis court that can be converted to a basketball court, car museum or private auditorium. And those are just features found outside the spectacular manse.
Inside, the main home boasts nine bedrooms and nine-and-a-half baths, with a built-in library, private ballet and dance quarter and gourmet kitchen. The interior includes fine touches such as immensely vaulted ceilings, gold fixtures, custom tile work and columns “carved from stone produced where Michelangelo found his own” and floor-to-ceiling windows that show off striking views of Pinnacle Peak Mountain and Troon Mountain.
The listing is presented by Frank Aazami of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty and Don Tyler of Tyler Properties.
